Rating Scale and Scoring

Criteria for evaluation are used to determine the quality of an English Language Arts or mathematics curriculum. They include:

  • Full alignment with the Maryland College-and Career-Ready Standards

  • Addresses key shifts in English Language arts and mathematics

  • Instructional supports to build proficiency and independence

  • Assessment design and purpose

  • Coherence across and within grade levels and courses

  • Alignment between standards, tasks, outcomes, and performance expectations
