Root Cause Analysis Results
All schools identified for Comprehensive Support and Improvement (CSI) under Maryland's Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) Consolidated State Plan are required to have a Root Cause Analysis completed by a third party.
Schools identified for CSI completed a needs assessment prior to the start of the Root Cause Analysis (RCA) process. CSI schools will develop their intervention plans based on the findings from their RCA report. The completed root cause analysis reports can be accessed via the links below for each CSI school. Intervention plans will be posted upon approval by the Maryland State Department of Education.
The purpose of the Root Cause Analysis (RCA) report is to share outcomes in order to support schools in identifying underlying causes of school performance problems. The report provides an overview of the RCA process, school profile, problem statement, prioritized root causes and recommendations for improvement.
